as an outsider looking in, i think this does a good job at showing that gay people don't have the same rights in other countries as they do in the united states.
the lgbt has essentially been at war with itself in recent years, especially in the u.s., with the "we're coming for your children" types trying to infiltrate a group that consists mainly of people just trying to get through shit without judgement. the kind of fake activism i see from certain people comes across as disingenuous to me, and seeing this, i once again remember that all of the fake activism going on that i keep seeing in my own country actively undermines the real suffering that gay people in other countries go through, especially in countries under sharia law.
to anyone reading this who faces actual homophobia, remember that the "we're coming for your children" types are not you. do not associate yourself with those people. they are not gay, they want to use your suffering for their gain. those people still exist, and they are running rampant. just remember that as long as you have an actual moral code, and acknowledge that while being attracted to the same gender is not a sin, everyone should still have boundaries, you are not them.
if you live in a country with anti-gay laws, fight back in whatever feasible way you can. not everyone has to be constrained to one sexuality. if you live in a country where your sexuality is accepted, remember that you do not have to think like every other person who has the same sexuality you do. humanity itself is not meant to be homogenous. observe the behavior of other people before you decide to support them.
in conclusion, sexuality is not a moral stance, but a trait that should not be demonized nor glamorized, merely accepted as a human trait.
just for clarification, i say "glamorization" in reference to people who think being gay automatically makes you better than everyone else, which is a belief that even you have disproved in this game. i want people to simply accept someone's sexuality as a trait, while also not confusing constructive criticism with prejudice or superficial hatred. (although i somewhat view that as a pipe dream, because prejudice will always exist in some form, and people will still use the suffering of others for their own gain.)
